Fin-Est Friendship Rowing is a charity project which will see two amateur rowers, Taimi Komulainen and Arvo Ivanov row across the Gulf of Finland in the summer of 2018, which will also see them celebrate the 100th birthday of Estonia and Finland. The distance between Helsinki and Tallinn is 82km and they are planning to cross it on a academic double sculls sea rowing boat. The exact date and time of the event has not been set yet. Crossing the gulf of Finland requires a very precise set of conditions, such as a wind speed of less than 5 m/s. Details will be released when they become known.
